FAQs
Do I need to register?
You do not need to register with Web of Stories to view stories but if you want to leave a comment, read a transcript or embed a video then you need to register.
How do I embed a story in my website?
You can embed up to five videos from Web of Stories on your website. Click on the embed icon () in the video bar to access the embed link. Please contact us if you wish to embed more than five videos.
The video I am trying to watch won't play
Firstly check your internet connection and make sure that you have sufficient bandwidth to view a video. If this is not the problem then click on the broken link icon () in the video player bar to report the problem.
Where can I find a transcript?
Web of Stories has prepared a transcript of the story for many of the contributors.
Transcripts can be accessed by clicking 'Transcript' in the top right hand column beside the video player, along with 'Information' and 'Biography'.

If you do not see the word 'Transcript' in the right hand column then a transcript does not exist for the story you are watching. A transcript is available for all non-English language contributors in both English and the speaker's native language.
What is a related story?
If you have enjoyed the story you have just watched then why not try a related story? Related stories make connections with other stories about the same people, places, events or publications that have been talked about in the story.
Can I comment on a story?
Yes. To leave a comment on a story type in the box at the foot of the page beneath the video. Click on the 'Submit' button to submit your comment to Web of Stories.

You must be signed in to leave a comment.
