Takie miałem wrażenie, że to by było jego upodobanie, gdyby miał czas, ale ojciec wychodził rano o szóstej i wracał po nocy, bo tak wygladała służba oficera służby liniowej, tak że mało się nam udzielał i rzadko kiedy byliśmy z ojcem, pamiętam właściwie tylko kilka scen. My principal dream was to get into the School of Fine Arts. My father used to draw a little; he left a few drawings which unfortuantely didn't survive the war. Yes, this was the impression I had that he would have enjoyed drawing if he had had the time, but he used to leave the house at 6:00 am and come back late at night because of the demands of his military duties. He therefore had little time to spend with us and we rarely saw him. I only recall a few incidents. My father was terribly punctual, terribly precise and terribly organised, if I may say so.
