When all that anti-Semitism business began in 1968 and Jakubowski was dismissed, because he was no longer a professor by then, he'd made his student a professor, that hideous nationalist was made a professor because he was clever, so he made him a professor and as it happened after a while, he dismissed [Jakubowski] who'd already stopped coming to the clinic, and when 1967 or 1966 came along, this antisemitic business had already begun. Jakubowski was ill, anyway, so that student of his took over the clinic under his protection, and the first thing he did was to purge it. I'm not going to list all the staff who had some kind of status that he threw out, after all, the boss can't have people who are better than him. I was the last when he said, 'You've been here so long at the clinic, you don't have'... Aha, there was some sort of issue with my post-doctorate work and so he said, 'Goodbye.' So it was goodbye and Jakubowski sorted out a wretched position for me in a military hospital... In cardiac surgery. Yes, as a consultant but the boss there was mad. There's nothing to say about this. I was there for one year, or a year and a half and this was 1968, the doorman wouldn't let me in, he said Jews get lost, and that was how it ended.

I powiedział: 'Do widzenia Panu'. No i do widzenia, no i Jakubowski mi załatwił teraz taką posadę przeklętą, w szpitalu wojskowym...

[Q] Na kardiochirurgii?

Co?

[Q] Na kardiochirurgii.
