Knowledge, by definition, is not limited, knowledge is not something you can own... knowledge only exists if you share it and transmit it. Otherwise it is not knowledge, as it would die with us, so it is only temporary. So if we can't develop it and transmit it to someone, it is as if it had not existed. What is the point of knowing someone who at some point knew something if it is lost on us. That was the idea and... it is true that Audouze and Cassé and the others by the way, and Thibault Damour with whom I wrote another book a few years later, great physicists, had that idea of speaking to a literary person to, say, someone from the performing world, to try together to get their idea through to people who don't have any scientific background.
French screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrière (1931-2021) began his association with films aged 24 when he was selected by Jacques Tati to write for him. This early experience led to further contact with other film-makers, including Luis Buñuel with whom Carrière collaborated for many years. He wrote screenplays for films including Belle de Jour, The Discreet Charms of the Bourgeoisie, Tin Drum and Danton.
